High-Precision Telecommunications Cooling System

Liebert HPS
6 – 14 kW

Designed for mobile networks and technical rooms, Liebert HPS combines high sensible cooling capacity with optional free cooling to support continuous performance in 24/7 environments.

Liebert HPS
High-Performance Split
Cooling System

Liebert HPS is designed to maintain controlled environmental conditions in space-constrained technical environments, particularly mobile network stations and remote-site technology rooms.

Its ceiling-mounted indoor unit preserves valuable floor space for IT equipment. Optimized airflow delivers cool air close to equipment intake areas while drawing warm return air from the sides, helping reduce air mixing and the formation of hot spots.

Optional Integrated Free Cooling

The optional free-cooling system uses outdoor air when ambient conditions are suitable, reducing compressor operation. Precise 0–100% modulation helps maintain the required indoor setpoint, while the integrated rotary design requires no additional external module or installation footprint.

Energy-Efficient Operation

Precise modulation and optional free cooling enable greater use of suitable outdoor conditions, helping reduce mechanical cooling demand and annual energy consumption.

Compact Design and Flexibilty

The ceiling-mounted indoor unit preserves floor space for IT equipment. Different configurations can be selected according to environmental conditions.

Operational Continuity

Optional emergency power support through 48 VDC batteries or an independent AC supply helps maintain ventilation during utility power interruptions.

IDEAL APPLICATIONS

Continuous Cooling for Telecommunications and Remote Sites

Liebert HPS is designed for environments such as mobile network stations and remote technical rooms, where stable thermal conditions and continuous operation are essential. Scroll compressors, plug-type fans, and flexible emergency power options support reliable operation in distributed infrastructure.

Recommended Applications

  • Mobile network stations
  • Telecommunications containers
  • Small and medium-sized technology rooms
  • Edge computing locations
  • Noise-sensitive locations

Liebert HPS: Technical Performance and Operational Reliability

Displacement Cooling Technology

Liebert HPS directs cool air downward, close to equipment intake areas, while drawing warm return air from the front and sides. This airflow arrangement reduces the mixing of supply and return air, improves cooling efficiency, and helps limit hot spots within the technical environment.

Continuous Operation and Emergency Power Support

The system uses components such as a scroll compressor and plug-type fans to support continuous operation in demanding remote-site environments. In the event of a mains power failure, optional 48 VDC battery or independent AC power support can maintain emergency ventilation.

Quiet Operation Under Demanding Conditions

The advanced version supports acoustic requirements as low as 45 dB(A) at three metres under specified free-field conditions. Configurations are also available for operation at outdoor temperatures of up to 50°C under the reference conditions stated in the product documentation.
