Liebert® AFC is an advanced adiabatic free cooling solution designed for large-scale data centers and industrial facilities. Its integrated wet-pad system pre-cools incoming air through evaporation, extending free cooling operation and reducing mechanical cooling demand.

Full compressor backup helps protect critical loads by maintaining cooling capacity during water shortages and extreme ambient conditions.

Intelligent and Autonomous Operation

Liebert® AFC continuously evaluates outdoor temperature and humidity through integrated control algorithms. It automatically selects the most suitable operating mode while balancing energy and water consumption.

  • Free Cooling Mode: At lower outdoor temperatures, cooling is provided by fans while the compressors remain off.
  • Adiabatic Free Cooling: As outdoor temperature rises, the wet-pad system pre-cools incoming air and extends free cooling operation.
  • Hybrid and Mechanical Cooling: During high-temperature conditions, compressors operate with adiabatic support to improve mechanical cooling efficiency.
